Movement and personal connections improve mental and physical health… and they are fun! Many of our partners offer opportunities to join in -- either at a group site or from your home. Below are a few of the options to consider. All classes and meetings are free.

Elder Justice Lunch and Learn

Industry experts and elder justice warriors meet for an hour to share resources and best practices to enhance the lives of older adults. Third Tuesday of the month from 12:00 – 1:00.

Medicare Counseling

Ask questions about Medicare and additional insurance options. HICAP meetings give unbiased assistance to help older adults make the right decisions for their needs.

Solano County Virtual Dementia Caregiver Support Groups

Support groups provide a safe and confidential environment for participants to develop informal mutual support and social relationships. They also educate participants about dementia and help them develop strategies and skills to solve problems. Fourth Thursday 9:00 – 10:30 am; Second Wednesday 7:00 – 9:00 pm.

Tai Chi for Arthritis

Classes are offered virtually, for beginners and experts. All you need is a computer and space to stand and stretch. Tai Chi strengthens core muscles, improves balance, and reduces the risk of falls.

Low-impact, physical activity program proven to reduce pain and decrease stiffness. The routines include gentle range-of-motion exercises and are suitable for every fitness level.
